# Think-Cell tips and tricks

### 1. Copy pasting made easy​ with Think-Cell
**When copying data from excel to ppt using shapes. Follow the steps below:**
* Make a dummy layout first based on the number of rows and columns that you need
* Copy the data all together from Excel
* Select the dummy boxes in ppt and paste using "CTRL + V"
* All the data will appear in one go

**Few pointers:**
* Make sure to have Think-Cell activated
* Make sure that the layout you make in PPT is not grouped
* Make sure that the Excel does not have any merged cells, in case of merged cells this will not work
* This will also not work if a cell has 2 to 3 bullet points
* This method is best to paste numbers or single lines of text

### 2. How to convert Think-Cell charts to MS chart
* Step 1: Cut the chart using Ctrl + X
* Step 2: Paste special "Alt + E + S"
* Step 3: Select the first option "Microsoft Office Graphic Object"

* Step 4: Right click on the chart and click on "Edit data"

### 3. Changing colors in Think-Cell Gantt charts
* Due to Think-Cell limitations, we cannot change the color of the separators in Think-Cell Gantt charts
* In order to do this, first deactivate Think-Cell

* Once Think-Cell is deactivated, it converts the graph into shapes
* Click on the object that you want to change, and you can change the color like you would for a normal shape 

**NOTE:** When Think-Cell is deactivated, do not move around any shape accidentally, if any shape is moved, the entire chart will lose its Think-Cell properties

### 4. Adding Animations to Think-Cell charts 
* There is a misconception that animations cannot be added to Think-Cell charts
* However, in order to this, you need to first deactivate Think-Cell
* Select the chart and all it's elements that you wish to animate
* Add the animation and activate Think-Cell again

**NOTE:** When Think-Cell is deactivated, do not move around any shape accidentally, if any shape is moved, the entire chart will lose its Think-Cell properties

### 5. Making charts perfectly consistent across slides
* Please watch the video
* See picture of the "Page Up" and "Page Down" keys (they can be placed in different places depending on each keyboard)

### 6. Saving slides individually 
* To save slides individually go to the particular slide
* In the Think-cell tab select this drop down

* Select "Save Slides…"
* Then save the slide in the required destination
