Client Badge program

Purpose of the Client Badge Program.

We have a number of clients where designers work on a very high volume of projects and, in some cases, have completed hundreds or even more than 1,000 projects for the same client. Through this experience, many designers have developed a strong understanding of the client’s expectations and ways of working, and we believe they should be able to handle more of the process independently, with less admin involvement.

  • Reducing unnecessary reviews, checks and back-and-forth can make the process faster and more efficient, while allowing admins to focus their time on areas where their involvement adds more value.
  • At the same time, we see this as a great opportunity for our designers. A more independent way of working can give you more ownership of your client work, reduce unnecessary back-and-forth, and allow you to take on more projects and potentially increase your earnings. We therefore want to build a system that benefits both KnowMore and our strongest designers - recognizing those who are able to consistently deliver client-ready work with minimal admin support.
  • Another factor behind this development is the rapid progress of AI in design, including areas such as PowerPoint. As technology continues to evolve, we believe it is important to strengthen the expertise and independence of our designers.

What does it mean to have a Client Badge?

Short Overview:

Responsibilities in detail

1. Project scope
  • Careful review of project scope, instructions, and requirements before starting work, helping identify any potential scoping issues.
  • You act as the admin’s back-up to ensure nothing is missed.

2. New WIP standards

Minimizing WIP submissions to max. 1–2 per task, depending on the size and requirements, using your own judgment to determine when confirmation is truly needed and applying the following process when uploading any WIP:

  • Specify which slide(s) you would like the Admin to review specifically, for example because they are more complex, you are unsure about them, or there are upcoming similar repeated structures,...:

Example: Hi, here is the WIP for the first 10 slides. I am very confident with all of them except slides 5 and 7. I would appreciate specific feedback on the colour coding in the timeline.
As shown in the example above, please be as specific as possible about the type of feedback you need. For example, mention whether it relates to client instructions, colour coding, preserving the slide message, layout consistency, or any other specific concern.

  • If you are very confident in all the slides, clearly communicate the expected next step to the Admin.

Example: Hi Admin, here is the WIP for 10 slides. I am very confident with all of them, so unless you have any specific feedback, my next upload will be the final file ready to send to the client. I will, of course, ensure that all Quality checks are completed before submitting the final file.
This approach will help us make our reviews more focused and improve the efficiency of our collaboration.

3. Client-ready files delivered directly to the client without an admin final quality check
  • Take full ownership of quality and content control.
  • Admins will not perform final quality or content checks, and your final submission will be sent directly to the client without any review!
  • You must go through the QA checklist and critically review your own work to ensure the client receives high-quality and accurate content.

4. Minimizing admins involvement
  • You have to actively contribute to the reduction of overall admin involvement in tasks to a minimum of 50%, through increased independence and responsibility.
  • No more relying on admins pointing out mistakes that could be caught through your own thorough checks and critical thinking!

Benefits

  • Seeing in the application view which projects are your Badge client projects. *
  • Receiving priority for these projects above all other designers. This is a huge advantage as only Badge experts for a specific client will have this priority. This means this expert group of designers will see projects for Badge clients first in the platform application view and receive a notification before anyone else. This makes it very likely that you have the best chance to apply for and win the project over other designers who do not have a badge. *
  • Being a Badge designer guarantees you a 10 rating unless the client reverts to us with a bad rating or you behave in an unprofessional way during the project, putting the project at risk – in that case, your rating will be updated accordingly.
  • Guaranteed 10 ratings keep your overall rating high, also giving you a rating advantage on other projects.
  • A bonus of 100 USD will be awarded to designers who fulfill the following criteria:

- Deliver at min. 70 directly returned hours to Badge Clients
- Client average rating cannot fall below score 8
- Please note that the bonus terms may need to be calibrated and adjusted in the future.

  • Less admin involvement, resulting in faster workflows and less waiting time for feedback.

* Please note that this will only start to apply once the changes to the KnowMore platform are ready. We estimate this to be in around 2+ months
