ID requirements

If your ID photo was declined, it could be due to several reasons related to quality, content, or format.

Below are some reasons why an ID photo might be rejected:

Blurry or Low-Quality Image - If the ID photo is blurry, pixelated, or of low resolution, it may be rejected because the details are not clear enough to verify your identity.
Obscured or Partially Visible ID - If parts of your ID are cut off, or the important details (e.g., name, photo, or ID number) are obscured by shadows, glare, or reflections, it will likely be declined.
Photo is Cropped or Altered - If the photo is cropped in a way that key information on the ID is missing or if the photo has been edited or altered (e.g., with filters), it may be rejected.
Wrong Type of Document - If you submitted the wrong type of ID (e.g., a school ID instead of a government-issued ID like a passport or national ID card), the photo may be declined for not meeting the requirements.
Expired ID - If the ID is expired, many platforms will reject it because we require a valid, current document.
Unreadable Information - If the text on the ID (e.g., name, date of birth, ID number) is unreadable due to poor lighting or reflections, we will not be able to verify your identity.
ID Not Fully Visible - If the entire ID card is not fully visible in the photo (e.g., if it’s only showing part of the document or it’s too far away to see the details), it will likely be rejected.

How to Fix These Issues:

Take a Clear, High-Resolution Photo: Ensure your ID photo is clear, with no blur or pixelation. Use good lighting and a steady hand.
Ensure the Full ID is Visible: The entire ID should be visible in the frame. Make sure no corners or important information (like your photo or name) are cut off.
Use a Valid Government-Issued ID: Submit a valid ID such as a passport, or national ID card. Avoid using unofficial documents.
Avoid Glare or Reflections: Take the photo in a well-lit area but avoid direct light that may cause glare or reflections on the surface of the ID.
Check the Expiry Date: Make sure your ID is valid and not expired. If your document has expired, it will be declined.
Do Not Crop or Alter the Image: Submit the original, unedited photo of your ID without cropping or applying filters.

By following these steps, your ID photo is more likely to be accepted for verification.
