Can I try again if I failed?

The process to become a fully fledged KnowMore Platform designer takes time and is not easy. We appreciate your persistence, however it is not possible to restart the process or retake specific parts of it to become a PowerPoint designer on the platform. Therefore we highly recommend to first study all of our materials and be well prepared before starting with the application process.

Application

If you reach a minimum standard, reviewers will allow you to try again. However if you fail, we will not reset your application. The standard for passing the test is very high.

Test projects and final interview

During the application process, we observe your design and technical skills, the behaviour and communication you exhibit during the two test projects and finally in the interview we focus on your logic, comprehension and abstraction skills. The decision to allow you to move into the Assessment phase is based on the combination of your results in all of these steps.

Assessment phase

In the assessment phase you need to continuously receive good ratings to be able to get new projects. Should you get a series of bad ratings, finding projects and getting allocated to them will become less likely.

Introduction

In this article we will explain the paid test projects. You can only start this step once you have passed the application test, filled your profile details, watched the onboarding video, and completed the onboarding call.

What is are the test projects?

The test projects are there so we can see your design skills, but they are also there so you can experience the KnowMore Platform process and see what it is like to work with us. You will be able to explore the Knowmore Platform interface in its entirety. You will find out what projects are generally like, you will have admins online and available to you and you will learn about our expectations. You shall also have access to the resources within the Platform with the exception of the SlideHub Macro and the SlideHub Platform PowerPoint addin - link. These tools only become available to designers once they have passed the final interview.

The first test project simulates what a real live project is like. Here you will be given all material needed to complete the task, you can communicate with the admins and they will give you feedback on your project so you can complete it to the client's satisfaction.
The second test project is a larger challenge. Here you will not get any feedback on your file from the admins, but they will answer your queries should

Final interview

What is the final interview?

The final interview is the last part that you need to successfully pass before you can start working on live projects and move into the Assessment phase. It is a video call that we happen via zoom. If you pass the test projects, you will receive an invitation to schedule the interview.

What kind of questions will be asked?

We cannot share the exact questions that you will be asked as it would defeat the purpose of the final interview :) Generally, you will be asked questions in connection with your experience so far on KnowMore Platform, your previous work experiences and a few questions related to the PowerPoint designer freelance role.

What do we base our decision on?

During the application process, we look at your design and technical skills, the behaviour you exhibit during the two test projects and finally in the interview we focus on your logic, comprehension and abstraction skills. Passing the interview is based on the combination of your results in all of these steps.
