Color usage

Colors are one of the key elements of a client’s branding and guideline. Getting them correct is the first step of creating a slide deck that looks right. If the colors are incorrect, the client will notice it immediately.

What does it mean if you got this tag as feedback from an admin?

• You did not get the color scheme correct in your file
• Colors were implemented in a wrong hierarchy
• Highlight color was overused
• Colors for a specific purpose were incorrectly chosen
• The color combinations you selected do not really follow the guidelines
• You are setting the colors manually instead of applying them directly from the theme colors

What can you do to become better?

• Pay attention to the guidelines – color selection rules are generally well documented
• Study the guidelines visually to learn what color combinations the client generally uses and how
• Colors using theme color settings in contrast with manually set colors can easily and quickly be automatically changed
