Recreation of text

Notes to slides is a fairly common kind of project our clients send us. To do well on them you need to be able to decipher all kinds of writing, printed, handwritten, shorthand and even cursive. Not to mention the many different languages our send their work in to us.

What does it mean if you got this tag as feedback from an admin?

You had difficultly reading the text and a substantial amount is missing from the project
You did not indicate the parts you could not understand with the following brackets in red <____>
You indicated the parts you could not understand, but did not even try to guess at what could have been there

What can you do to become better?

Take the time to understand the slide fully and try to make educated guess about the words if you can understand them
Always show using red brackets which part you are unsure of
Make sure you try to add at least the letters you recognise in the unsure parts to show that you did try to figure it out
Practice reading the handwritten text (especially cursive) from other people to gain knowledge and experience in recognising letter shapes in their different forms.
Use translate tool (Google translate) to guess the right vocabulary for the foreign language
