Articles on: Designers' Rating

Rework required

This rating tag is given to those projects when after approval the admin had to rework the file themselves to bring it up to the client ‘s expectations. Usually, this tag is accompanied with other more specific feedback tags to explain what needed to be changed

What does it mean if you got this tag as feedback from an admin?

Your work needed further adjustments, that required more than 15 minutes of the admin’s time
You did not implement the admin’s feedback (often the same repeated feedback is not taken into account)
Admin noticed less visible mistakes only in the finalization process and needed to do further adjustments on their own. For example: wrong text box margins, indentation, etc.. This still counts in designers' feedback and rating since designers should guarantee that guidelines are applied even without admins checking every single box for correct settings.

What can you do to become better?

Pay detailed attention to the admin’s feedback to implement it correctly
Apply all the guidelines correctly and recheck following them on your own, do not just rely on admin pointing out mistakes. Your work is your responsibility!
Invest in studying the client guidelines attentively - if you pay attention to the small details, admins will be able to give higher level advice or comments to raise the quality bar. Otherwise, this could give lead to “Repost required” which is more serious feedback than “Rework required”
Study the Lorem Ipsum version of the final file sent back to the client to learn what you did incorrectly
Take feedback as a learning opportunity and better your skills in your weaker areas
